Profession: Writer, Radio Personality, talent promoter and comedienne

I have produced and hosted the Radio program "IMAGINE ITALIA" on Fairchild Radio's FM96.1 station. Imagine Italia was a creation of Vito Bruno the Producer of " Telitalia", a voice widely recognized, by all listeners, as the " Italian voice of Vancouver "

I have been involved in journalism and publishing. I was the editor, writer and publisher of the Italian magazine "ITALIA ALLO SPECCHIO, or CANADA'S MIRROR". This was a bilingual, monthly Italian-English publication dedicated to the promotion of Italian culture and art, as well as the cultural life of Vancouver, in general. Now it's called " It's Your world ...welcome to it !"

I have written and published my own books: "A PASSION FOR", "DIARY OF MARIA FIERRO and IL MONDO DI MARIA FIERRO ( The World of Maria Fierro) " which contain Poetry, Astrology and quotes on life and its idiosyncrasies.

Prior to this, I have been involved, for the last twenty years, in various activities connected to the entertainment industry:

 I have performed as a singer in various Vancouver restaurants, and appeared in shows in theaters and other venues. I have interviewed and promoted most of the local Italian singers, musicians and artists, as well as non-Italians.

 I have acted in a comedy play, written for and presented on the Italian community television show, in Vancouver.

 I have illustrated my interest in all art forms, including dancing, by producing and managing a dance troupe, which appeared, with success in various venues, in Vancouver.

As a fluently bilingual, Italian and English, speaker; I have done voice-overs and narration on Radio and television and, of course, on my own radio program I performed frequent poetry readings of my own works, as well as of other authors.

My life experiences have unconsciously  created this other " Maria " that looks at life, and finds humor in this unreasonable, illogical, and self- centered world. Making people laugh is my passion.
